Your favourite wedding disco tracks?

SamSam, 17 January, 2011 at 16:12 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hello! We get to suggest up to 20 songs for our DJ to play and I'm a bit stuck for ideas. So I thought I'd ask you lovely ladies (and gents) for your ideas. I look forward to hearing your suggestions ?

I know theyre terrible, but the old classics to get people dancing really work, bit a wigfields saturday night, macerena, wigwambam ha! Its true i went to a wedding in summer and everyone was up loving it! Chuck in some motown for the oldies too.

P.s. no offence if you are not an oldie and love motown like my 27 years old partner!

I would suggest maybe thinking of signifcant songs from throughout your life: school discos, college / uni days, songs from when you met your OH, holidays, tunes from your stag / hen celebrations. Check out my wedding music list for some ideas.

Don't forget that your DJ does his job week in week out and should know exactly what to play to get everyone up dancing. Your upto 20 requests will just be for those very special songs that you both love that your DJ may not play otherwise. If you don't have anything in particular, I would suggest leaving it up to the DJ to get your dance floor nice and lively - it is his area of expertise after all.

    Have fun choosing ?
