Your Jewellery - flash me

Sloan-R, 8 October, 2010 at 13:53 Posted on Planning 0 27

just put jewellery on for sale and made me wonder, what are we all wearing?

I have gone for this hair clasp which is sooo sparkly and this pearl set - not sure if set is too plain but don't want too much detail as dress is detailed. What do you all have?

I havent got any of my jewellry or dress yet so cant flash but Sloan-R I think your jewellry is lovely and will complement your dress really well anything to big or fancy will take away from the gorgeous detail on your dress

And Vikster that headband is amazing!

Samsam that will look gorg, love the creaminess of the pearls against the dress.

headband is lovely vikster, I was considering a sideband at first but it wouldn't go with my dress,

Thanks for the comments Naboo, I agree I think something too fussy would be too much.

I bought a Victorian Mother of pearl brooch off ebay and found a HIB here (whose not about any more) to convert the brooch into a pendant. The effect of the pearl mirrored my bodice.

My earrings came from a wee Curio shop in town and my bracelet was a choker I bought in the sales and had shortened. The diamante dress clips on my shoulders were vintage too..

If you are looking for something quite plain I make this set with is Sterling Silver with Freshwater Pearls I also have other pearl pendants on my site as well as pearls with crystals.

Or Swarovski do a similar design with the teardrop crystal but without any pearls - https://www.swarovski.com/Web_GB/en/834999/product/Ivory_Pendant.html?CatalogCategoryName=0109.

I had pearls in my tiara but none in my jewellery as I didn't want any so you don't need to have pearls in both designs if you aren't keen.

    Thanks Teehee.
TBH, i really don't do bling or anything such like, and i had already bought a very simple drop diamonte necklace with earrings and nothing else at all. but then my friend came with me to try on the dress as i was having major wobbles with it. She's such a good friend that she very kindly helped me part with a tad too much dosh! and i thought "stuff it, what's wrong with stepping away from the norm, and doing something different for one day of your life". I'm so glad I did, I keep taking them out of the boxes and parading in front of the mirror!!!

BTW - i love the detail for your hair and your hair clip, it is stunning and classy.

Grace85 i could not agree with you more i love butler and wilson and have always had a piece for every occasion (21st, 30th, engagement etc) and so it seems fit that that is where my bling comes from. My OH comes from deepest darkest Plymouth and has now been introduced to Butler and Wilson and loves it too (how glad i am i that i am marrying an extrovert just like me) thank God considering that is where his present comes from.

Navy chick, I love your jewellery, especially that necklace/ earrings set. Did you get them from the shop you brought your dress from? I hadn't even thought of looking in the dress shop for accessories. Duh! ??

hi Mynnie - yes, it was for me the best way to see how the jewellery looked with the dress - although a tad over budget!
some shops have fab accessories, and i had looked when i initially bought the dress, but were too expensive really. so went back a few months later and lo and behold!

This is the cuff I am wearing. It's from the lovely LouLou Belle Designs on these very pages. My dress is strapless with crystals across the top so I'm not wearing a necklace as I think it will detract from the embellishment
