Zara Phillips marries *flash*

Flamin Nora, 30 July, 2011 at 17:39 Posted on Planning 0 20

Thought I'd pop this on, it is very simple but she looks lovely!

What does everyone else think?

You could kill a man with that boquet- its huge.

Its not to my taste really but good luck to her. I would prefer less flounce and more detail.

Yay! What a lovely dress, and I think she's lush too (hellraising royal - brill!) And good on her for marrying a rugby player too ?

I had a feeling she would go for a very plain dress, suits her but I would have ditched the veil though. I personally think a short sleeve on the dress would have looked much better as she has big arms.

Yeah I agree, I don't like the veil. The dress looks lovely on her though.

I thought the dress was typically 'royal' i.e., a safe choice although it suited her. I really didn't like her hair at all as she almost looked bald from the front. Seemed to be pulled off her face with avengence (sp?) Also sorry to say, didn't like the bridesmaids' dresses either - very plain and very creased. Princess Anne looked... well, words fail me but the Queen looked gorgeous!

I thought she looked extremely happy and that's the main thing ?

Her arms might be big but it's not fat, it's solid muscle so nothing to be ashamed off. That's known as working with horses! I think the dress is a typically safe royal dress & agree about the veil not doing the dress any favours but her best accessory is her ear to ear grin. She is clearly very happy so good luck to them, I hope they have a fantastic marriage. ***Panda is still smug from beating Zara showjumping when we were in pony club together ? ***

Uh oh! My arms are the same size as that, and I was worried about chosing a strapless dress, but everyone told me it would be fine.

    Now I am worrying!

I think her arms are fine, they are toned muscle...

I like the top of the dress, the bottom looks to be like it was too short and they added a bit ?

but... they looked happy which is the main thing!

I think she looks lovely, I agree that the veil was a bit too fluffy maybe an elbow length one would've been suffice and not sure about the strange hemline.... they do look a lovely happy couple x

You said she had "big man arms" which is perhaps not a compliment... (I realise your post doesn't say that now, but it did until you edited it). And you must think that they are something to hide, as you were suggesting sleeves...

Excuse me, I did not originally say she had big man arms at all and my post has NOT been edited!! please do not make things up to make me look bad.

I said that I thought she would have looked better with a short sleeve as her arms were bigger, that was MY PERSONAL OPINION thank you... I never anywhere said she should do that because she had big man arms or as someone else said because she had fat arms... some of you cannot read properly and have totally misinterpreted what I said.... crikey!!!!

No need to get cross. If you say you haven't edited it, then you haven't. I'd swear blind I saw you had written something different earlier - I wasn't making something up to make you look bad.

If I had written something different in my original post and then edited that post you would still see the original post where people have quoted what I said, so I really don't know how you came to miss quote me!!

I'm sure you would get cross if you were accused of things you had not said!

Like I said, when I read this before going out at 12.30 today, I am SURE I read 'big man arms', because I remember thinking that this was a bit harsh. The quoting of your post seems to have happened after this. If you say you didn't edit it, then you didn't, end of story really.

As I said, if I had written 'big man arms' in my original post and then edited it you would still see'big man arms' written in the posts where people have quoted me and it doesn't!! It's everyone else who is saying big man arms, fat arms etc.... NOT ME!!

And as I SAID, I read and noted the comment BEFORE anyone quoted your post, and so I thought you had changed your post BEFOREHAND...didn't you just accuse everyone of not being able to read?? Come on, now!

I read this thread yesterday and I don't remember anyone writing 'big man arms'...

I think Zara looked lovely, apart from the bottom of the dress. I enjoyed having a nose at everyone's outfits.
