Are you having placemats or Charger plates

Are you having either? or maybe even both? trying to find ones for my Vintage theme but not having much luck.

    It never occured to me to have either? Im trying to think what ive seen at other weddings ive been to but I cant remember. I love the whole vintage look though so will be interested in what you have seen/ choose. ?

    I cant remember either but when i looked up table setting plans on google, almost all had them. not only am i having trouble finding a place who hires them but cannot find any i like.

    Oh yeah!i just googled it and you are right! Hmmmm got me thinking now. A lot had napkins or plates. I may ask my venue what they normally do.

    I once saw lace doilies being used as place mats. Sounds old fashioned but they looked fab!

    We're having placemats, that i've made myself.

    They're hessian/burlap, kind of like this, but i've sewn the "pocket" onto the mat for the cutlery- and ours don't have the text.

    They're a bit rusticy I suppose.

    As above though i've seen doilies used a few times for vintagey weddings.

    I don't think you need either, generally people don't.

    We've only decided on placemats as we're having long bench style tables with no table cover/cloth.

    Wow, they are fab! I like the lace doilies idea too.
