At what age do children NOT need an activity pack?

GCL2015, 19 March, 2015 at 15:49 Posted on Planning 0 10

I'm unsure as to what age a child would be to not need an activity pack to keep them entertained during the meal/ speeches?

The majority of the children attending our wedding are under 5 so I have ordered activity packs for them with crayons which includes colouring and easy puzzles, however I have an older child and I don't want to embarrass them by giving them an activity pack!

I'm guessing around 10?

I have used 'if they are at secondary school' guideline.

I suppose it up to the child, if they are more mature?

I know full grown adults who would be chuffed with an activity pack!

I'd say primary school age though too, unless you can tailor them to the recipient?

I'd go with primary school children, but have a couple spare in case older children asked for them.

I agree with this. There's a very blurry line and if they're a little over that age and the only one of their age group then depending on the child they might want one to 'fit in'.

I would suggest - around 12 years. All 10 years old that I know love activity packs. ?

I would have said about 12, and definitely worth having a few spare just in case the older ones want a go.

Activity packs were never something we considered actually, so this has got me thinking!

Our venue has a kids room with toys, games and a tv/dvd player. Activity packs might be a better idea than them going between the dining room and the playroom!
