Attaching ready made blackout linings to eyelet curtains

Hugo Brambles, 5 April, 2009 at 17:57 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

Has anyone done this? The ready made blackout curtains all seem to say just attach to the header tape on your exisiting curtains but I have eyelet curtains and there is no header tape. Am I missing the obvious here on how to attach them? I suppose I could tack them onto my curtains but I thought the point was they hooked on so you could remove them to wash etc?

The best thing to do would be to tack header tape underneath the eyelets - you can get really thin stuff. Then you'll be able to hook them on and off as you please.
