Band and Dj?!

Hi all. We have booked our venue for June 23 and are in the process of looking at entertainment. Has anyone any experience/been to any weddings where both a DJ and a band have played? We’re thinking of having a band early evening after the wedding breakfast, and then a DJ/sax for later on. Not sure how it would work with timings etc? X

    We’ve just got a DJ, but when we were looking a lot of bands also provide a DJ for the evening, or a DJ was also linked to a band. Maybe that could be an option, everything in one package

    We've booked a band and a DJ for our wedding in October. The band will play two 1 hour sets and the DJ will play in-between, no band is likely to play for the whole of your reception so you will either need a DJ or a play list to fill in the gaps if you want people to be able to dance the night away.

    The DJ has been booked through the band so they are used to working together and coordinating, a lot of wedding bands offer this option and it was cheaper than booking a DJ and a band separately.
