BARGAIN WEDDING CAKES- SUPERMARKETS????

claire2999, 23 June, 2012 at 23:22 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi

Just wondering if any of you can help me out. I am looking to get a bargain cake- hoping for chocolate or white chocolate tiers if possible.

Do you know of any supermarkets (or similar) that sell tiers of anything except Fruit.

Thanks

What is classed as 'bargain', do you have a limit in mind?

We needed a cake to feed more than 130 guests and were on a £200 budget. Settled with a 10, 8, 6 & 4 inch tiered cake at £220, the M&S ones I saw were about the same if not more. We shopped about and are using a local cake maker.

M&S do all sorts, or you could buy a cupcake stand off ebay and buy ready made cupcakes

We had an M&S wedding cake, the separate tiers are the cheapest and they often do 3 for 2 deals.
