Benidorm - the TV show and other english comedies?

I have jsut been talking to my mother and she told me about this programme and said its hilarious. She is going to try and record it for me and bring it over because we miss english comedies. Before she goes to the trouble of working out how to record to DVD (which will take her FOREVER) - can...

I have jsut been talking to my mother and she told me about this programme and said its hilarious. She is going to try and record it for me and bring it over because we miss english comedies.

Before she goes to the trouble of working out how to record to DVD (which will take her FOREVER) - can anyone tell me if it is actually funny? She did say "even your MIL said she laughed, so it must be funny" ?

Also - are there any other english comedies we should be getting her to buy on DVD? WE have the might boosh and shameless.

    Rita sue and Bob too is hilarious and a similar humour to Benidorm I guess.

    I have been watching it and I find it hilarious.

    Something you can watch whilst doing other things - light and funny.

    Benidorm is ok, easy to watch but not that hilarious I don't think and they spoil it by showing all the funniest bits in the ads - but that shouldn't be a problem for you
