Berketex bridesmaid dresses - good?

I have no idea myself , but I will be watching this thread with interest as I have heard through friends that they do some lovely dresses x

There are some lovely dresses on the website.

Just wanted to know if anyone had them as their bridesmaid dresses to see what they were like. Don't know anyone that has had them.

I got 2 bridesmaid dresses and 2 flower girl dresses 4 years ago. Dresses were gorgeous. No problems with service. Can't really fault them at all.

Sg45 - the offer is pretty good. I wasn't planning on getting the dresses so early but wanted to save a bit with the offer. Hopefully they will have something I like. Fingers crossed.

My bridesmaid dresses are from Berketex. I agree with Pink they have gorgeous dresses and the service we have received from the staff has been excellent. My sister is having the Susie dress and my nieces the Lilly dresses in lilac taffeta.

Wow are they three for two at the moment. I went in there the other day and they were lovely but very expensive - I said to my OH 'I wish they were 3 for 2' - lol! Might have to get myself down to have a look.

I was a bridesmaid a couple of years ago and we got our dresses from Berketex Oxford Street. There were 3 of us. I'm a size 16-18 and the other 2 were a size 12-14 and a size 8-10. The dresses were beautiful strapless dresses with a rouched waist, low back and full tea length skirt. We had no end of trouble with the alterations though. When we went for second fittings, it was clear they had got our measurements mixed up and 2 of the dresses had to be re-done. We ended up picking them up the day before we left for the wedding. One of the girls had to take time of work to do this.

On the day of the wedding, they had mis-tagged the dresses so the size 12 was in my dress (which looked fine as it was a lace up back) and we were all freaking out as 'my' dress wouldn't fit at all! Eventually figured it out and got the right dresses on. The fit on all 3 still wasn't great and we used half a roll of tit tape to make sure we were sucurely in! It took us twice as long as the bride to get ready!

The shop assured us that leaving the fittings so close to the wedding would be fine. When there was problems, they hummed and ahhed about whether they'd be able to fix them in time.

The dresses themselves were gorgeous and I would buy from Berketex again. However, if we were doing it all again, I think we'd arrange to have a lot more time for fittings and be perfectly sure they fitted well and not let ourselves be intimidated by the alterations lady. I think it was £75 or so for alterations for each dress.
