My only advice to anyone planning their wedding is to do it your way! I was 50 on our wedding day & we choose a humanist ceremony to include our 6 grown up children, venue was our local pub with catering trucks & Mr Whippy. We had sangria, nibbles, gin bar, homemade cakes, bbq all the things that we associate with us. Hand held fans were a good shout & gin favours lol …..we had no bridal party, we all got ready together in a hotel close by….this included our children, siblings, niece & nephews & my dad it was chaos but also us, as we are use to be together. Our Ceremony included a ring warming from our guests, & a hand fasting to be totally inclusive of our guests & children. The football table was well used & the service we got at our local (who had never shut the pub before it held a wedding) was second to none. We deliberately used as many local suppliers as possible & each & everyone was super!!! Do it your way & do what is true to you as a couple but more than anything stay relax & enjoy everything!! I really did not want our day to end which when it did was back in the coach with cheddars, water & paracetamol 😂🥰
BEST DAY EVER!! 👰♀️🤵♂️🥂💯👏🙌😍
