Depends if it's internal or external, but personally, I found the cream and pessary option was best the oral tablet never helped me. Also make sure your OH uses the cream or he could re-infect you. Not his fault (I only get it from antibiotics) but it helps!

Fluconazole tablet (only one needed), a clotrimazole pessary and some cream. That should sort it out in one hit.

You can buy this from the chemist, branded as Canesten, but it's cheaper to get the non-brand name versions.

Bless you, it's horrible isn't it......anyway, I've always found the tablet on it's own works for me, the cream doesn't help me at all and seems to add to it and make it worse.

Thank you. It's bloody horrible, really irritating. I'll go to the chemist in the morning.

If you've got any plain natural yogurt in the fridge you could try that. Never done it myself, but some people say it brings a bit of relief (at least until you can get to the chemist)

You have my sympathy - it's bloody horrible.

I've been reading about the yogurt, but I don't have any. It's driving me crazy. Stupid. I've never had it before so don't know why I have now. ☹️

It's nasty. Anything can cause it from changing soap, to shagging, to tight clothes, to just stress and being run down.

It's absolutely and completely harmless, but it's horrible and irritating. Sometimes a wash with plain cold water can help for a little while.

Thank you. Now you mention it, I did buy daz washing powder (the lime one) a couple of days ago. Never used it before. Could this have caused it?

It may have done. It usually takes a combination of things for me to get it. I last had it days before my wedding a month ago - but before that was when I was pg 4 years previously.

I found the yoghurt more cooling and soothing than anything - the relief was wonderful. A cool bath (if you can stand it) will give temporary relief until you can get some meds. Though messy (tmi sorry), the pessary worked a treat for me.

Good tip about the generic name - thrush stuff is expensive.
