Best woman?

I’m getting married in September and my FH is having his sister as ‘Best Man’ as he has a group of male friends and didn’t know how to choose just one as best man so is having them all as groomsmen. To be honest she’s much more organised when it comes to sorting the stag do and can be trusted not to say anything stupid in her speech so from FH perspective it’s been much easier and the stag do is what he wants rather than what someone else thinks he should be having if that makes sense. If your FH is close with his sister then why not I say!

I said to my OH to get his brother to arrange the stag do as I think he is going to be a groomsman so he doesn’t feel left out even though they aren’t close.

Our dress code is black tie so she has a dinner jacket style black jumpsuit from Karen Millen with satin lapels and satin belt round the waist to make a little more feminine then is wearing green shoes to match the bridesmaids. It was her suggestion to not wear a dress so she doesn’t look like a bridesmaid in the wrong colour! Xx

We’re getting married abroad but we will ask her what she feels comfortable wearing. A feminine suit in the colours would be stunning! 😍 x

I'm getting married in 10 days and we are having a Best Woman. My mother is struggling to get her head round it but it was my idea. I feel the Best Man role should be somebody who is a close friend and who has supported you and been there for you no matter what. He has a female friend who is perfect for the role so I said to him we should have her as Best Woman and we are. A friend of mine got married 18 yrs ago and he had a Best Woman then. Worked absolutely fine. Remember it's your wedding so if you both want it and it feels right then go for it!

I think my OH is just over thinking it. He just doesn’t have anyone close to him, we have couple friends but he doesn’t have a best friend and I think it’s made him feel a little sad. I have said we can do what we want as it’s our day. My Dad got married to my step mum, 5 years ago and he had his sister as his best woman xx

I've got a thank you for being our Best Woman card and then got a cute make up bag off Etsy with her name on and inside it says thank you for being our Best Woman. Got one for my Maid of Honour too personalised for her. We have also decided to do a short First Look with our photographer before the ceremony. My mother wasn't keen on that initially. Thankfully we are paying for the whole wedding so don't feel guilty standing my ground. One of my most used sentences with my Mum last few weeks has been "Whose wedding is it?!" 😂😂
We all need to cling on to that I think. Whilst we have to give some thought to our guests and not be selfish it is our special day and not theirs xxx

I have been looking for best woman proposal gifts, I found a card on Etsy and I was thinking a personalised wash bag. I’ve asked my bridesmaids already 🙂 x
