Bestman unable to come - wants to do a video speech

Hi All,


Need some advice in regards too Bestman please
I’m getting married in July, was supposed to be 2021 but we postponed due to Covid restrictions
My Bestman late last year moved to Canada, he has applied for his application for residency but as it stands it’s not been processed, it’s looking highly unlikely he will be coming too the wedding
He said he still wants too do a speech but it would be him creating a video speech. We will play through a projector on the day…..
I’m happy with this but wanted too get peoples opinions
Has anyone else had a video speech?
Do you think this would be a good idea?

    I think it is a great idea, at the end of the day he would be there if he could and assume you would still want him to bt there so I say go for it. My brother had video messages from some family played at his wedding and was different. Your day, do it your way

    I think its a great idea. You could also get a photo of him to include in the photos if you wanted to! One of my friends did this when two of her close family members were unable to fly due to Covid.

    That just reminded me, my cousin had a life size cardboard cut out made of his brother as he is in New Zealand and couldn't come home for the wedding due to COVID, it was hilarious as he was in the pics! The cut out was taken from a pic of him in a suit so didn't look out of place and was a bit of fun on the dance floor!

    It’s great that the best man still wants to be part of the big day with a video speech. Even from far away, his words will mean a lot and add a special touch. This shows that wolf cut hair style , true friendship always finds a way to be there.
