this is why she made a most unconvincing fanny price in mansfield park...all that toothy gumminess is far too modern looking. the canary yellow hair and the two inches of black roots didn't help much tbh

Yes, this seems to be the topic of conversation of everyone that watched tonight's Dr Who. It was like she had to many teeth in her mouth, it was like the top set were fake, but when she big smiled they looked real enough. Strange.

YAY ROSE IS BACK!

I thought she sounded odd too but couldn't remember if she sounded any different to how she normally sounded! If that makes sense...[<wanders off to try and figure out if sentence can be re-written without the word 'sound>]

I do love her though and I'm very glad she's back. No i want Martha back too please!

Has she lost some weight? Her face looked rather gaunt, she's never had those cheek bones before. That might make her teeth look quite prominent.

She really can't act. Really. At all. I'm mystified as to why she continually gets parts, to be honest.

She was swallowing her lines and most of them were unintelligible. Mr K and I had to keep on rewinding to try and understand half of what she was saying. Dreadful. And the fact that she says she forgot 'how to act' as Rose is utter bollocks. She always knew exactly when she was going back to the role; as an actress it's her job to keep rehearsing and be ready and able to nail it the minute the cameras start rolling.

Catherine Tate acted her off the bloody screen tonight, and we've still got two more episodes of her emoting all over the place to go. Gaaaah!

I did wonder for a minute if she'd had her back teeth out to make her cheekbones more prominent (a la Rhonda Birchmore) but that's a little extreme.

It wasn't just Rose's accent that was missing - it was Rose - even serious Rose would not have been how Piper played her last night - was she suddenly meant to be 40yr old Rose after a really hard life? Accent was wrong, face was wrong. Teeth looked gigantic and scary, and yes, Catherine Tate acted her off the screen. V. disappointing.
