Birdcage flower arrangements?

jemster, 16 of January of 2015 at 15:33 Posted on Planning 0 4

I've seen a gorgeous picture of a centre piece with a birdcage and roses but can't work out how to recreate. The roses are real and instead of being trapped inside they trail down from the top on the outside. I suppose oasis must be involved somewhere?

Can anyone advise?

Do you have a photo example at all? It'd be nice to see what you mean exactly ?

    Ah I see!

At the top of the cage you can see the stems are taped together with green floristry tape- there's then ribbon tied over it. It seems like they're just tied on?

Mmm...does look like that. Just a bit worried they're hanging there without water...I suppose they only have to last about 4 hours but still. Seems a bit cruel to not to at least give them water after you've cut them - not sure I'd feel right about it!!

    I suppose it's no different than a bouquet or a buttonhole/corsage.
