Black dress, gold shoes, what colour tights?

Flesh coloured, black or barely black? I can't go bear legged, the ole corned beef needs covering up.

I'd probably go with the flesh coloured ones, though it does depend on the style of dress and shoes ?

Hmm... I knew someone was going to say that - I was leaning towrds pale, glossy skin tone.

(Did I write 'bear legged'? I meant BARE. Freudian slip - I do need to shave.?)

I'd go with flesh coloured - loving the "bear" typo though ?

Black fishnets or good quality black opaques would be best I think. I wouldn't go for flesh coloured fishnets in the evening (they're more daytime tights). If you have FABULOUS legs flesh coloured slightly shiny will look good, but not if you don't.

I'd love to - but I can't get on with fishnets at all - they hurt my toes ?

The dress is a wrap style, knee length one with a flared skirt, and the shoes are fairly plain courts with a bow on the front, medium heel.

(Just realised that I seem to have described a really boring outfit?)

I've never even seen flesh coloured fishnets. I usually wear teal ones. But not with gold shoes ?

    Definitely not?

I've been googlling and looking at pics of black tights with gold shoes - I don't think it's a look I can carry off to be honest, especially opaque. Might have to buy a few different ones and try them all ?

The first thought that came to my mind was a thickish purple or blue pair, like you can get in new look and primarnni.

I'm 37 and size 16/18. That's not going to cut it I'm afraid?

? There's living, then there's having people point and laugh. I think I'll be sticking with something a little more conventional. Will give the fishnets another go though.
