Blessing or vow renewal

HappyPurpleDecor19460, 14 of June of 2018 at 22:53 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi there, hope someone can help! We got married at a registry office on 2016 and are having a ‘proper’ wedding day in August so all our friends and family can join us. We’re having it in a hotel and want it to be as much like a proper wedding day as possible. It will be non-religious but just wondering if it should be a blessing ceremony or a just a vow renewal ceremony? Have had no luck googling so advice is most welcome! Thanks in advance, David

I would say it's entirely up to you!

As part of our wedding ceremony, we are having a celebrant. She will be allowing us to make our vows, exchange rings, have readings, then do a handfasting!

I'd definitely recommend a celebrant - they tend to be a little cheaper than an official registrar in my experience, and as you don't need any legal stuff done, a celebrant allows you to tailor the ceremony to exactly what you want - you could probably combine a blessing ceremony with a vow renewal!

    Hope this helps!

It is up to you Smiley smile

You can go for a ceremony with speeches without the religious side Smiley smile
