Blue/White colour schemes

Hi -

We are thinking of havng a blue and white wedding theme for various reasons - with the bridesmaids in light/pale blue dresses. Now we are thinking of tablec decorations, room decor - has anyone on here used this colour scheme, and can give any ideas about what worked/didnt work? Or better still, any pictures we can draw a little inspiration from?

Blue doesnt seem like that popular a colour in magazines etc etc...Just looking for some advice!

Hi there and welcome ?

blue and white is a stunning combination, have a look online there's plenty of inspiration out there, look according to theme as well - you may get some ideas from beach weddings etc. also the knot is a good website to look at as they have wedding catagorised by colour.

I love blue glass!!

I did a wedding between Christmas and New Year last year that had a blue/white theme.....it looked stunning. They'd decorated the room themselves. They'd draped a plain lace cloth behind the top table. I'd got a few spare LED par cans in the van (they're the lights used for colour washing stages), set to blue and placed them on the floor pointing up behing the lace curtain. It had the wow factor. Simple but hugely effective.

OMG i love this i have to be honest blue and white isnt a colour scheme i would automaticaly think of when talking weddings but wow it works!!!!

Those pictures look great! we are having that colour blue for our wedding -royal blue or peacock blue depending on what your looking at! It's good to see how it looks as the 'finished article' as sometimes I struggle to see how it will look weddinging.

If you like blue go for it, even though its not popular in the magazines it will make your wedding more personal to you, and hopefully people will remember the colour scheme you have going thorughout.
