Booking honeymoon ideas

Thomson do a voucher scheme whereby you book your holiday and people can buy vouchers either in a shop, phone or online towards the cost of it. If your guests buy the vouchers after you have had to pay the balance, the money will automatically be credited to you.

Alternatively there is a site called honeymoney where people can buy specific parts of your honeymoon for you - everything from flights to champagne day trips, massages etc. I am not sure what they are like thouhg - does anyone else have any experience of them?

Redkezza has already suggested what i would have done. haven't got any other advice except to not put your request for money towards your HM in a poem!!!!

? Lol Money poems really are a love it or hate it thing. Some of my friends are getting married this year and doing the money poem thing....I am keeping my unsolicited opinions to myself!

We are in the same situation as you, where we have booked it as of last week the balance needs to be paid prior no later than the 18th June. I think I will try to get my invites out in April, I have suggested this is what we need to do. But I have been lucky where my dad has said he would contribute towards it anyway as we have not had a holiday on our own for over 2 years. He feels we need time to our own, with this being a special time. We have lived together for 15 months and have everything so any help with the honeymoon would be brilliant.

Thanks for the reply, we have looked at a few travel agents that offer the scheme where by people can contribute,but most want you to pay the full fee at least 3 months before we are due to go which means we will probably have to put it on a card and get that reimbursed as and when people contribute,I think we need to as a couple go and sit down with someone who specialises in honeymoons as not sure where we fancy at the mo.
