Bridal entrance song

I know there is a section on this but it doesn't look like it is used that much. As well as wedding reception traumas and dress nightmares I just can not find a bridal entrance song that I love. I was just wondering what other people were having? I want a instrumental song... I love Paloma Faith but...

I want a instrumental song...

I love Paloma Faith but the instrumental versions of her songs are karaoke versions so they don't sound the same.

My H2B loves Andrea Bocelli so I would go classical if it moved me.

Open to suggestions.

Someone else recommended them as well. I did listen to my favourite songs but it felt wrong. I will check out the gay collection x

This is one of our choices! I'm Glaswegian and most of our relationship has been conducted here, so it felt appropriate. But I wonder if it's just too... sad? Our other choice is Romantic Flight by John Powell, which is from the How To Train Your Dragon movie. It's significantly more epic and soaring, but it is from a kid's movie (albeit one we both love!) and that's stopping us somewhat.

If all else fails, it'll be Chopin's Nocturne Op.9 No.2.

I think if you analyse all songs you will find some reason not to have them - if you both love How To Train Your Dragon (so did we) then go for it. x

Not sure I could hold it together for the bridal entrance - we will definitely use it during the meal x

Lol I had dreams of recreating the video but her legs are 3 times the length of mine, H2B refuses to grow his hair and as for asking the Best Man to dress like Slash.... well, it wasn't happening. I do get goosebumps every time I hear it though.

I think i'm decided on Billy Joel - She's always a woman. But the instrumental version. Beacuse the lyrics wouldn't exactly say wonderful things about me. :/

but some of the suggestions on here have made me think I may need to think about it a bit more....

    I like this also!

I have started stressing about our return up the aisle song once we are hitched...

First dance song is sorted - it was gong to be Elbow but we changed it to Emile Sande and Labrinth as the words are very appropriate for us.

    Argh decisions decisions

We had one day like this for our first dance. We had originally chosen "To The End" - (Blur) but the DJ didn't have it.

OMG that happened at a wedding we went to - the bride was devastated. I ended up being whisked off in a taxi to get a copy of the cd from my dad's house.

We're taking several copies of the music just to be on the safe side - I will probably make each of our guests take one in their hand luggage lol.

Ooh I'd forgotten this. I will add it to my song pile - we have asked each of our guests to pick 10 songs that we intend to play during the day/night at our wedding. Some of them are ridiculous but some of them are fab.

    Hi

This isn't instrumental but have a look anyway.

I played it at a friends wedding in Majorca a couple of years ago.

We submitted our "Requests" about two months in advance: indeed, the hotel specifically ASKED us what song we wanted for our first dance so that they could let the DJ know in good time.

To be honest though, when the DJ said "He didn't have it" we weren't too bothered, we were pretty steeped in wine by that time and would have danced to the Birdie Song if it meant we could get it over and done with as quickly as possible.

We really didn't want to do that first dance thing.

I love them too! I walked down the aisle to their version of "Wonderful Tonight" (Eric Clapton) - it brought a tear to my eye the first time I heard it. They can do anything and make it sound beautiful though. Actually all of our wedding music was by them! their version of coldplay songs were playing before the ceremony, and after for the signing we had Radioheads "No Surprises" as my hubby is a big fan of Radiohead, but I thought would be a funny song choice!

A bit of jazz for me, either 'Take Five' by Dave Brubeck or 'Giant Steps by John Coltrane. Not the whole track though - Giant Steps is 37 minutes! ?

You can buy the Suddenly single on vinyl single on eBay

I'd love to get our first dance song on vinyl as I think it would be a lovely keepsake.
