Bridal shoes, where did you get yours?

Hi all, Just wondered where people were getting their bridal shoes? I'm going for comfort over style as they won't be seen. Looking for a mid-heel. I always have difficulty with really lovely shoes as I'm tall and a size 8 but slim feet!! Any recommendations?

Goldpants - I LOVE these, new ones to me and think they may be strong contenders........just need to get the dress first.

It is a proven fact hoovering in new heels is the perfect way to wear them in. Just don't fall off them - that's how broken metatarsals happen *she speaks from experience*

Can't I have both.... :-( I'm a sucker for shoes! I spend a fortune on them every year and right now have more shoes than I do space to put them!

It's actually a requirement on our list while house hunting! 'Space to store shoes'

My shoes were my first buy.....Vivienne Westwood Melissa Lady Dragon in Lychee

I'm a size 8 and my OH is a similar height to me ( I'm 5,6 and he is 5,7) so these are perfect, I live my life in really big heels so not on my wedding day :-(

I'm a large size 8-8 1/2. I tried on some rainbow club shoes and they were too small for me. I've just bought some from Nine West - red ones that'll look amazing in the pics and will be worn again. They were in the sale too - £35 :-D

I always thought I would get Choos, the champagne coloured ones. I've got more than a sensible number of pairs of Manolos so I thought it would be nice to get Choos for my wedding.

When it came down to it I just couldn't justify the expense when I wasn't sure I would wear that colour again so I started the search again. I found two pairs I liked, Blossom Time by Diane Hassall at £210 and Ginger in gold by Rachel Simpson at £160. I arranged to try on the Rachel Simpson ones in a local bridal boutique, ruling the others out as too expense for ivory shoes, and when I got there they has the Diane Hassall ones in my size in a sample sale for £60!

I took that as a sign and got them both. I wore the Diane Hassall ones during the day and changed into the Rachel Simpson ones in the evening for the dancing. I've worn the Rachel Simpson pair quite a few times since so I now think they were money well spent.

I've just ordered a pair of Jenny Packham shows from Debenhams. They are in the sale, plus I found a 10% off voucher code - bonus! They are pretty high though, so I'll have to try them on and work out if I can walk in them!

If not, I could still wear them and swap them later, as I've bought some flat ballet shows in Ivory from there too.

I've bought my BM shoes from Debenhams too (a bargain at £9.60!):
