Bridesmaid dresses as wedding dress?

Hey, I have been looking into the idea of getting a bridesmaid dress in ivory to wear as my wedding dress and was wondering if anyone else has done this or considered it?

I'm finding a lot of bridal dresses are so heavy with a tonne of layers, and too much structure for what I want, which is something light and floaty - and bridesmaid dresses just seem to offer more of that!

I'd love opinions!

I looked at several bridesmaids dresses as I found that most wedding dresses were either too fancy or too large/heavy for me. Eventually, I bought an actual wedding dress, but it was very simple in style and similar to a lot of the bridesmaids dresses I'd looked at and I was so much happier in it than in the 'traditional' dresses I'd tried - so I'd say go for it. It's your wedding, you can wear what you want.
