Bridesmaid dresses - can you tell me about yours pretty please :)

Chez2k, 4 April, 2009 at 17:43 Posted on Planning 0 18

Hi Everyone,

Am just thinking about bridesmaid dresses (just thinking as a bit too early to do anything about them).

I'm having 3 adults and 2 kids (10 and 12).

What did you have or are you having for your bridesmaid dresses?

Where did them? Cost (if you don't mind me being nosey)?

Any pics would be lovely. I like having a nosey.

Thanks

Cheryl

Have a search for my last thread about having ordered my dress. There is also a link to the BM's dresses, which are dessy tea length dresses. Cost 160ish each

    Hi Cheryl,

    I'm also having 3 adults and 2 10 year olds (twins). My adults are having this;

These are my adults dresses / I'm having them in claret with an ivory sash and they cost £137 each. The little ones haven't been ordered yet, but will most likely be from the same designer in same colours (or reversed colours).

They are nothing like I thought they would go for I secretly hoped thought they would be knee length and taffeta. I also made the mistake of suggested claret and ivory before I discovered quartz and claret on the (I think) Dessy website! Oh well, they are happy with them and they are the ones who have to where them after all.

Hi I have 5 bridesmaids, 2 adults, 2 teens and a flowergirl. I got my dresses from Cariad (HIB on here). They are forever yours dresses in fuschia,

my flowergirl has a dzage dress which is white with a tulle skirt with pink crystals scattered over it and a fuschia sash and bow to match the other. The cost about £700 for the 5 of them.

Here is a picture of my Bridesmaids dress (the middle one). I am only having 1 adult bridesmaid. It's by D'Zage and cost £160. I am having the colours shown in the picture. The dress looks gorgeous on. I love it. HTH x

You can also get dresses that aren't specifically BM dresses but look just as nice from high street shops like Coast, Monsoon etc. Depends what look are you after really and if you want a dress that can maybe worn again or not.

My BM is wearing a green dress from Monsoon, it was £40 in the sale. Sorry don't have pics as not available on website anymore.

    Good luck.

These are my flower girl dresses from Monsoon. They are definately worth a look as they have a gorgeous collection and a good age range. As the three girls range from 2 to 9 we were having trouble finding the same style for all of them. They were £70

These are my 2 adult BM dress which were a bargainous £24 from Bhs!!

These were mine - £110 each from Coast, plus alterations for one of them to give her some fake boobs! Their boleros were from red herring and were £18, shoes were £20 from Topshop.

    That was me!

Well, having a FMIL that works at Bhs does help BUT dont be afraid to check the reduced rails. The dresses we bought were reduced to £35 (from £110) as they were shop soiled (just a little marking around the hem) which is easily cleaned?
