Bridesmaid Dresses Delivered But Wrong Colour?

Hollie1984, 20 June, 2011 at 20:47 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi All

I ordered these dresses for my bridesmaids which arrived today:

I absolutely love them and thought they would be the perfect colour, however they are slightly different to the picture. I wanted a rose/dusky pink and seeing them they are more a minky colour (browny pink) i am so disappointed ☹️

Does anyone have any idea if i could maybe dye them any lighter? the top layer is chiffon though so im not sure it would be possible. (They are only about 2 shades different to my other dusky pink items but noticable!)

TIA ?

What about getting a lighter coloured sash/belt to go around the middle? Would that look ok d you think? Then at least it would all tie-in.

Only 100% natural fibres can be dyed (is it silk chiffon?)... if it's made from polyester then I am afraid they can't be dyed...

Is this the h&m dress? was looking at them earlier and they have now been reduced to 1/2 price so be careful if getting a refund.

I dont think you will be able to dye them, hate it when something you order turns up and its different to the colour pictured.

Yes it is! I managed to get them half price just before they all sold out luckily. Yeh its such a pain me and my OH have them hanging up we are just sat looking at them trying to decide what colour we think they are!! In a different light they now look a heather colour almost mauvey so i think they are a no-no, such a shame!

They are lovely dresses, I agree a sash around the waist in the correct pink you need would work, but even without them it could still look good if you don't mind not having everything matched exactly.
