Bridesmaid dresses for older and younger girl

Danielsmummy, 17 February, 2013 at 20:23 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello,

I'm having 2 bridesmaids for my wedding. One is an adult and one is a child (10yr old).

I would really like them to wear the same dress but I can't find any which are suitable for an adult and a child! Or even any which come in sizes for an adult and child.

Does anyone know of any sites I could look at?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Smiley smile

Veromia, dessy, forever yours & Hilary morgan all do matching adult and kids bridesmaid dresses , their websites will help you finf your nearest stockists.

I was also looking for the same as you as my girls are 14 and 8 yr old but we struggled to find dresses that they both liked so I eventually had them made by a looking dressmaker and it has worked out less expensive. so this might be something worth looking into.

    Good Luck

I think you might struggle - dresses designed for adults are usually inappropriately designed for 10 year olds (strapless, defined waist/hip/boob room). You can, however, get plenty of dresses for adult and child from the same range. They would be the same fabric and complementary in design.

I got mine from forever yours, the adults and my step daughter both had the same, obv the child's one was cut slightly differently.

In addition to those already suggested you could also try Alfred Angelo. I got mine from there for a mix of ages from 9 to 32. The do a junior version of almost all their styles. My older girls wore a strapless A line gown with a corset back. The junior version was the same but with straps and they are cut for a child if you know what I mean, less fitted and more age appropriate.
