Bridesmaids

Aimee, 5 January, 2024 at 23:47 Posted on Wedding Attire 0 3
Hi all, I need some advice. I am only having two bridesmaids - my sister and my fiancé's sister. They are the same size / height / age. However, both have totally different features, my sister is dark hair and olive skin whereas my fiancés sister is lighter hair and paler skin (but does tan). We are getting married in Cyprus so will be tanned before the wedding.

I am so stuck on colours, I wanted the sage green but as a satin but feel so many people have this now. I also love champagne but not sure how this will look on each of them. Obviously I will be trying both colours on them both to see what’s better.
Although, I am also wondering if I’d get away with going for a slightly different dress on both. Still same material, colour etc but just have a feature on each which flatters them individually. Or, would this not work, having only 2 bridesmaids?
Also I don’t know if I’m making a mistake only have 2 bridesmaids, will I regret it? Will it look silly? My fiancé is having 3 or 4 groomsmen, so will look very unbalanced Smiley sad
I just don’t know what to do … I haven’t even gone dress shopping myself yet so will base bridesmaid dresses off that once chosen but just want some advice ahead so I know what I can kind of look at!
Thank you x

Don’t stress! The bridesmaids are the ones you want helping you throughout the day and getting ready with you in the room, if that’s just the two then that’s more than perfect! Don’t worry about balancing out with the groomsmen I don’t think that’s needed and the pictures will look amazing, your photographer will know where to play everyone.
In regard to colour, you do whatever you think looks best and you like, ignore everyone else’s wedding and pick what you would have picked on your own. Also because there are two you can definitely get away with having slightly different dresses! But don’t stress about that to start with or what suits them, I would buy a load online (doesn’t even have to be the ones you want, can be from cheaper online stores), get the girls to try them on so you can work out what colour/style suits them and then can go hunting again.

It's great that you're considering the individual styles of your sister and fiancé's sister for your wedding! Mixing designs while keeping the same color can create a beautiful harmony. I’ve noticed that jewelry trends are changing a lot lately, especially when it comes to pieces people actually want to wear every day. Instead of overly flashy accessories that only work for special occasions, many now prefer jewelry that feels elegant, versatile, and comfortable enough for regular use. While browsing lab grown diamond earrings https://luxurydiamonds.ca/collections/earrings I liked that many of the designs look modern and refined without feeling excessive. Simpler jewelry styles honestly seem to stay fashionable much longer because they can easily match casual outfits, business looks, or more formal occasions while still adding a luxury touch.
