Bridesmaids dresses, buying the material or buying the dress?

I would worry that the styles may come out different dependant on fabric, also the cost could escalate. Is there any point they may all be in the UK so you can order a load in and have a try on day? My SIL havd them made, but all in the same place so we knew they would come out the same, personally i would find it to risky, but see your dilemma. Or can you find somehwere online with a style you like and that ships to their locations and they could each order one and see how it goe from there. sorry not much help, I hope you manage to find a solution

It could potentially work out very expensive, depending on the local cost of dressmakers. Plus you are going to need to overbuy your fabric, since until the dress design is chosen, you won't know exactly how much fabric is needed.

It might be easier just to find a company that will ship to all the countries your bridesmaids are from. Or alternatively, you order them all to your address and then post the ones for your overseas bridesmaids to them for alteration locally,

Where are your BMs based? I’m using JJs house for my bridesmaid dress, and they have UK, US, Australian and Canadian sites (I think). My BMs are all based in the UK, and they have ordered dresses. My flower girls live in America and will be ordering their dresses soon in the same colour. I’m sure there are other sites which do the same too, but I have been very impressed with the quality of dresses from JJs House, I was a bridesmaid for my SIL last year and got my dress there too. Absolutely fab!

I have a friend who did this and it worked perfectly! First get free fabric swatches from Azazie https://www.azazie.com/fabric-swatches. It has tons of colors and fabrics like chiffon satin lace. Let your bridesmaids pick the same color fabric then customize their own styles. Bridesmaids outside the UK can find local tailors easily. It’s cohesive and flexible avoiding ill-fitting issues.
