Bridesmaid's hair

I'm really stuck for my bridesmaids hair. I am hoping to have my hair either down and curly or wavy, or a half up half down curled with a braid. I'm also wearing a floral headband. But what do I do for my bridesmaids? I am thinking a nice ponytail with braids going into it or a bun. I don't want their hair too similar to mine ie down if mine is down. I have also brought them floral hair pins. But some of my bridesmaids have expressed they do not particularly like their hair up. Is it bad for me to dictate how they have their hair of they are paying for it?

I have addes pictures of my inspirations and the hair pins and head band.

The general etiquette is that if you want something specific for their hair then you should be paying. If your bridesmaids are paying for this themselves then I don't think it's fair to dictate how it should be. Also if they are uncomfortable with particular styles then surely you don't want to force that on them and not allow them to feel their best.
