Bridesmaids...different ages/styles

Hi there

Would love to hear if you have any solutions to the following...at the moment working this out is giving me the biggest headache so far!

I have 8 bridesmaids. Basically I have grouped them into 3 age groups. So, two adults, three teens and three children (but not young enough to be flower girls)

I am having real problems trying to search for dresses. I am quite happy for them to be in same colour but different style dresses as one style will probably not suit all the ages. But where is a good place for me to start looking for a solution? I even thought to go with various pastel shades for each of them but worried this may not look right.

Any suggestions about what I could do ie styles for the age groups and where I may start looking? Somewhere I could get same colour and material but different styles but all for reasonable price especially for 8!

Dressy and Alfred Angelo do junior and adult styles and they also do lots of different styles in the same fabrics. They're not cheap though at £180-£220 per dress depending on style.

I think that as you have so many bridesmaids to find dresses for and they differ in age groups a selection of pastel colours might be easier and give you more choice. I have seen lots of pictures of bridesmaids in a selection of pastel dresses and they look gorgeous. Something like these...

Alternatively, if you want all dresses in the same fabric and colour you could consider Light in The Box, they have mixed reviews however and the dresses come from China so you would need to factor import taxes into your budget.

I've gone with different colours and styles and think it looks great. I've posted a pic on a topc called 'mismatched bridesmaid dresse' if you want to take a look :-)
