Brownsover Hall concerns

After a bit of advice..
We’ve had to rebook our date 3 times due to COVID. Finally settled on next August but have been reading so many bad reviews on trip advisor and even people commenting on the hotels social media posts.. I’m not sure where I stand or what I can do as they have half of our money already paid!
They’ve recently been taken over and things seem to of slipped and I can never get hold of the manager now looking after us and they’ve still not amended our contract with next years date on?? Has anyone recently been married there, or can give me some advice? We’ve waited so long I don’t want to get to the date and it be terrible 😱
