Buttonhole / Boutonnaire & Brooch Bouquets

KimB1980, 14 September, 2012 at 08:07 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm making (and very nearly finished) my brooch bouquet and am now thinking about what to do for my htb's buttonhole / Boutonnaire.

I'd like them to 'go' - obviously his not quite as sparkly as my bouquet. Our 2yr old daughter is our only bridesmaid and she will be carrying a littl pouch bag with our rings in so no proper flowers there either.

So my question is - if you had or are having a brooch bouquet what is the groom having?

Thank you

Im having a brooch bouquet too (if I manage to finish it without throwing it our of the window!). My bouquet will have cream roses underneath the brooches so planning in have florist (who is doing some venue decoration) make him a cream rose buttonhole. My BM and other buttonholes are going to be dried lavender made by myself Smiley smile

Depends on your colours (flash please??) but I LOVE the pearl buttinholes. Did a quick search and these 'alternative' buttonholes came up.....

My bouquet is mainly red and has a few odd elements such as a big sparkly strawberry as well as family jewellery pieces.will try & flash later as on my iPhone.

Id like my Htb' buttonhole to reflect him - he's tattooed, likes football, computer games & general boy stuff. I have seen a pic of a buttonhole that had a Lego figure in - I'm thinking of ways to include one and slightly spakle it up (just not too much)!

Oooh I saw that one too! Looked really good. I have made our wedding ring box out of Lego so if you go with lego figurine you could also make one to tie it in?

Oooh I saw that lego one and loved it! I have made our ring box out of lego so maybe you could do the same to tie it all in?

May have to get creative - I love the 360 controller one, my OH's fave game is Legend of Zelda so may try & incorporate the triforce symbol (we've been together 13 years and know all the lingo!)

    Thanks

Ooh where can I get the Xbox controller, anyone know? I've tried googling it without success, perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing. I MUST have one ?
