Buying a replica Venus of Willendorf

Flowery the Grouch, 21 September, 2008 at 11:41 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 10

Where would one buy a replica of the Venus of Willendorf?

I've found a few places online, but they are all in america, which isn't necessarily a problem. I thought the British Museum shop might sell them, but it doesn't. Is there anywhere like the british museum who is likely to? Somewhere that you would trust as much?

You've probably seen this and it isn't what you are looking for but might be worth a look.......

It seems to be UK based.

Yeah, I have seen that one. It's not quite what I am after, but thanks though! There is another UK place that seems to sell them as pendants, which also isn't quite right.

THis is the sort of thing I am after:

Not really, they are the pendant ones I mentioned above (but after you - it took me a long time to post!) Thanks for trying though.

Although you can't buy it online they seem to have them in the museum shop (I have no idea what the page says, they are just in the photo)

Possibly you could buy by 'phone?

Might be a tad difficult lol. It does say though that they have staff speaking many languages inc English to help out with purchases and more info.

Hope you find one somewhere, it has been bugging me!

I'll probably order from the US. It's been annoying me too. There must be other museum type places in the UK that sell them, or shops or websites that sell that sort of thing. I just can't find them!
