Caffine is evil

WifeyLind, 5 November, 2008 at 18:23 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

I gave up caffine about 2 years ago. So only drink decaffinated tea or coffee and never drink coke anymore.

But this afternoon I went to a coffee shop with a friend and couldn't see any caffine free stuff on the menu (danes are coffee addicts!) so went for a caffe latte as I thought this would be the weakest thing. It tasted so good!!! ?

But don't I regret it now. I've got a caffine high, but if feels really horrible. I go between feeling dizzy, having cold sweats and then feeling sick, tingling sensations....I've tried drinking green tea to try and flush the system a bit but I just feel weird still. And I had the coffee at around 4. ?

H is complaining too as I can't sit still, I'm literally bouncing off the walls.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for 'bringing me down' as this just feels awful?

Im the same, I dont drink caffeinated tea or coffee any more (not that I drank coffee before) as caffeine gives me really bad headaches

Hate to point out to you but green tea is caffeinated - you can buy decaf green tea over here (and France and Italy but not sure about in Denmark though)

Try some warm milk (it relaxes me so it might work with you) or some herbal tea (or fruit) they are all decaf

Or alternatively - plenty of water - caffeine is a diuretic so will make you dehydrated - the feelings might be due to that!!

How is it that green tea has caffine?? I thought it was herbal and therefore no caffine. I drink it all the time here and I never feel like this.

Thanks for that link majix. reading the page kind of answers why I don't feel as rotten drinking it and actually its probably good for me.

Well as long as I feel ok drinking green tea, I'll continue.

I'll just never, ever, ever touch coffee with caffine....ever!!

Well after a pants night sleep...hardly surprising with the caffine in my system...I still don't feel right.

In fact I'd go so far as to say I feel unwell. This isn't right. I know when I weaned myself off caffine it took about a week and I had a lot of headaches but I certainly didn't feel like this. My head just keeps spinning. ?

I'm supposed to be going to danish classes today but I'm not even sure if I want to risk it.
