We’ve been looking for venues based around the Cambridge area, we are West of Cambridge in St Neots. We like the Barn style venues and have found a couple that we like so far. We went to see Bassmead Manor Barns yesterday and absolutely loved it, until we found out the cost of the food! The cheapest option including drinks was around £100 per head! (I think you are paying for the staff as they are a separate company to the venue owners..)
The other venue we like the look of is Milling Barn in Throcking. Not been for a visit yet but looks very similar and what you get included in the price looks the same on paper. But the food cost is a lot lower, the cheapest is £39 per head plus £20 drinks I think. Both the food prices are without evening food.
What is the average price for food? We have about 60 guests.
If there are any other suggestions in terms of venue around the area that would be appreciated! We did the Manor Barn in Harlton but that’s a minimum of 100 guests.
