Can you buy non-bio washing powder in Spain?

Clairebecky, 7 August, 2008 at 11:55 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

We're going on holiday next week, staying in a villa and I thought I could economise on packing if I just take enough clothes for a week and do some washing while we're there. Problem is the children and I have sensitive skin and can't use bio detergent.

I think there's a Carrefour (sp?) supermarket nearby if that makes any difference?

I've no idea what is bio and non bio, but we've just got back from a week in Spain. The local Mercadona sold Ariel, in the green box for powder and liquid too.

Worse way can you not pack some? It shouldn't weigh too much.

I've only got the liquid things and wouldn't want them bursting in my suitcase! I suppose I could buy some powder & just put in in a tub? As long as customs weren't suspicious about me smuggling white powder in my suitcase!?

Actually - I suppose I could just put the liquid things in a box.......?

That's very true! Does your brand sell travel size boxes?

Yes, of course you can. You may need to check the small print on the label though- I don't think it's labelled as non-bio so you have to check the ingredients (and, IIRC, even some poders that are markreted as being for sensitive skin are bio).

I am probably being thick, but what ingredients will it have if it's bio - is it enzymes? What's 'enzyme' in Spanish?
