Can You Fix 'Pulls' On Silk Wedding Dress?

MAG2FMC, 22 May, 2012 at 11:58 Posted on Planning 0

Hello - curious about something. I'm still going through a drama with the pre-loved dress that I purchased. One of the issues is that there are a few 'pulls' on the fabric, almost as if a cat nail scratched the dress. Most are minor, but there's a couple that bother me, even though you'd have to be looking at the dress closely to notice. However, they still bother me, and I was wondering if you knew whether this is this something that can be fixed or made less prominent by a seamstress?

You can sometimes make a 'pull' less obvious and sometimes get rid of it by turning it onto the wrong side and running the edge of your thumb nail over the pull both up and down the fabric several times. I have occasionally snagged my satins on a pin or something and most of the time this works for me.

Hope you understand what I mean ,it's a bit awkward to explain by typing, just be gentle!
