Can you have 2 maid of honours?

I have 2 good friends and I can't choose between them one of them has been my friend all my life (26 years) and the other one has been my closest friend for the last 6 years so can you have 2 and has anyone got 2? Don't know what to do x

    You can do whatever you like, no different to when men have two best men Smiley smile I am not having one, I just have 6 bridesmaids.

    There agents any hard and fast rules with weddings (other than the legal bits) do what makes you happy! I've had people telling me I shouldn't have the person I've chosen as my maid of honour but it's not up to them. It's yours and your partners day xx

    Thank you ladies this is all very confusing...I have always loved weddings watch tv programmes help friemds look and now its come down to me organising my own my mind has gone blank x
