Hi ladies

This is my wedding dress and I am looking to have a tiara and veil. There are no pearls on the dress but I am wondering if I go for a sparkly tiara like below if it would be too much? Any advice?

Also how do I get the countdown ticker thing?

Yes I think you can have too much sparkle. However, I don't think what you have chosen is too much sparkle and it will look really nice together. As long as you don't have a chunky crystal cuff AND a real statement necklace AND chanderlier earrings AND the tiara (just some more delicate jewellery) I think it will go lovely.

If you need any help with choosing jewellery, please let me know. My website is

    Thanks Lisa

    Will have a look.

I was just thinking of a tiara, veil and earrings so as not to have too much.

I know the tiara is expensive, but keep going back to look at it lol

    Hi,

Lovely dress, I'm a sparkly girl myself. Did you get my reply to your email?

In answer to your question yes you can have to much sparkle but your dress isn't too sparkly at all so you can still carry off having more sparkly things. My dress was covered in crystals, I had a solid sparkly necklace, stud sparkly earrings, sparkly veil and a sparkly tiara however I feel it all worked very well because my accessories were still subtle.

I didn't want pearls at all, they just didn't suit me or the dress, but my tiara had 6 pearls in a colour to match my dress as it was champagne. Pearls would look really nice with your dress combined with crystals but an all crystal necklace wouldn't be too much unless you went for a massive chunky design!

Here are some designs from my website however I am happy to discuss bespoke ideas with you. I also do consultations with local brides so you would be able to try on a whole range of designs which might help you visualise how everything would look together. Alternatively I'm doing wedding exhibitions soon where you can try things on as well.

You could have a plain strand of swarovski crystals with or without pearls

If you did feel a fully beaded necklace was too heavy you could do for an illusion design

This is made with freshwater pearls with the added bonus of sparkles and quite a few hitchers have bought this recently.

This is made with small 5mm Swarovski Crystals with rondells (it's only on my facebook page at the moment)

    Again just on facebook

The pearls on the designs above can be taken out without any problem and my bespoke service is free.

As for tiaras do you have an idea how you will wear your hair as that helps to narrow down your choices? I have a cluster tiara which is really popular with brides who have sparkly dresses (this was a best seller of Capri Skies who sold the tiara for £240 despite it being £70 on my website) Brides wearing it

This is a hitcher who had a heavily crystalised dress but she kept her jewellery to an illusion design (also made by myself) so the jewellery balanced everything out

Or double bands work very well with most hair styles

I'd be delighted to help you so just drop me an email if you want to ask anything or have a chat about potential bespoke ideas. Website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk where you will find many more designs and email address is ******@**************.**.**.

Sorry I missed the link to your tiara beforehand. My cluster tiara is only £70 with Swarovski Crystals and you can specify the height at no added cost. The tiara is available to try on as well.

I currently have an offer on if you spend more than £80 you get a free necklace so say if you bought the cluster tiara and a bracelet that would cost £80 you'd get a necklace worth £20 absolutely free and the design is your choice as well.

Thanks Lyndsay, will have a nosey.

I did get your email and thought I had replied, have had the flu so my head is a bit fuzzy ?

It is the same shop and I am concerned but will just have to keep an eye on them. On the plus side the dress was bought with my credit card and I have insurance so should be covered. I assume it'll be the same seamstress and I am concerned about how good the alterations will be, though they have a set package of £150 for all alterations

Well £150 is a good price, Karen quoted me £400 (but she refused to set a final price) and it only cost £140 elsewhere so maybe it's a different seamstress who has set reasonable prices.

I'm sure it will all be fine, don't worry. You know where I am if you need anything and I hope you feel better soon.

My first exhibition is on 12th September through in South Lanarkshire but details are on the website and I need to update it with the other exhibitions as well (one is in Hamilton). x
