m.bridetobe, 23 July, 2013 at 15:14 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi ladies, I'm have just joined hitched and need some advice!! I have been searching for my dream venue for what seems an age - I am looking for something in the Leeds area. Myself and my other half are interested in something historic and grand - like a big county estate. If anyone has any ideas/suggestion I would be so, so greatful!! X

Hi, welcome to Hitched. I don't know the area and not sure of your budget but had a quick google search and the following comes up but not sure what any of them are like - have you had a look of the list of wedding venues on hitched? You can search by area and will help give you an idea

    Good luck!

Have you tried nostell priory. It really is special and Stephanie is great. Also the mansion in roundhay was lovely, grand building but you are in the public park.

Have you looked at The Mansion at Roundhay?

or, if you have endless money, Oulton Hall.

Also woodlands is GORGEOUS and exclusive use.

If you're having a civil ceremony it's always good to look at the local authority's website - they have to list every place with a licence so you can just work your way down the list. West Yorkshire ones below:

I would have LOVED to get married at Harewood. But H2B wanted a hotel venue. Kharv's list is amazing and there are some gorgeous places on there. I'm sure you'll find something quite easily actually!

    Hello,

We looked at lotherton hall ,https://museumsandgalleries.leeds.gov.uk/ the hire was reasonable with it being a council owned property but the reception costs came to more than we could afford which was a shame as I have a lot of child hood memories there , My cousin got married at Allerton castle https://www.allertoncastle.co.uk/weddings.html which was very grand
