Caribbean Warehouse, anyone used them?

K8_2408, 2 June, 2012 at 22:45 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 3

We're looking to book our honeymoon to a place in the Dominican Republic which we've been before.

We went to this particular resort a couple of years ago & loved it so much we wanted to go back for our honeymoon. Last time we went with Thomas Cook as they had their own packages with a rep. We went in Feb as the weather was perfect at that time. Thomas Cook have stopped their packages out there for that time for the year & only seem to go during hurricane season!

After a Google search we found that the companies gosling a package to this particular resort for Feb were more limited then a couple of years ago but Caribbean Warehouse were able to get us out there for when we wanted at a similar cost we paid before. Having no experience of them we wanted to see if TC could price match & after a lot of searching around we were able to book though them but travelling with someone else, the only problem was they were a couple of hundred pounds more expensive.

Obviously everyone is in the same boat on here by ploughing most of their money into the wedding so getting the cheapest price for a honeymoon is important, but at the same time I'm fully aware of people being let down by their travel company so a bit wary of going with a company that I haven't heard of before!

Anyone had any experience of them, good or bad? From what I understand they are ATOL protected which is a good start. Tried getting some reviews from Google already but not much there.

Used them many times as have people on this forum MSE & TA, very reputable company part of Blue Bay Travel. Just go on their website & look for testimonials or look at Blue Bay Travel Facebook. Lots of happy clients, they are a member of ABTA you can search for them on their website just checked P4796. I use Diane, we booked our wedding with 30 guests with her amazing service, highly reccomend you call & ask for Diane she is first class. Nothing too much trouble, ask her about the honeymoon package. From memory I think they talk direct to the hotels & you get a honeymoon package. We did with our hotel free of charge but not sure if it's the same hotel. We got married at Dreams which Diane recommended after she has stayed there & knew first hand about the hotel & honeymoon packages. Hope this helps.

    Hi There,

We have booked our honeymoon to Mexico through them. They are wonderful. The most helpful staff by miles. I tried Hayes and Jarvis, Kuoni, Thomas Cook Signature and a few others. Caribbean Warehouse/Bluebay were the most tolerant (I did call very undecided as to where to go!), knowledgeable and experienced. I cannot fault them.

I haven’t personally used Caribbean Warehouse, but I’ve looked into them a bit while planning a similar trip and they do seem to be a legit ATOL-protected UK travel company, which is definitely a good sign for financial protection.

That said, like with most package holiday providers, experiences can vary depending on flights, suppliers, and specific bookings. I’ve seen quite a few people mention both smooth bookings and occasional hiccups, so it really comes down to how comfortable you are with using a third-party travel agent versus booking direct.

On a slightly related note, if you’re exploring options for travel planning and even things like pre/post-trip logistics, I recently came across a service offering storage services in Dubai through Villa Movers that looked quite well organized and secure (especially useful if you’re ever combining long travel or relocation with storage needs).
