Cash wedding gifts

Richard, 15 of January of 2023 at 08:54 Posted on Etiquette and Advice 0 7
We have a nice poem asking for honeymoon donations, any ideas how to collect the money in a cashless world and dusty chequebooks.
A Bank Transfer is how most people move money, but we are reluctant to post bank details online ?

Depending on the ages of your guests, you should still expect some cash and cheques. Even if someone doesn't really use cash, they can always withdraw some fresh notes to put in a card. You will just need to make sure you have somewhere secure for cards during the wedding and then head to the bank to deposit it all within a few days.

We had a mix of cash, cheques and bank transfers from close family who already knew our account details.

We’re asking for money towards doing up our house - we’ve just said on the email we’re sending to people once they’ve RSVP’d to text us if they need our bank details.

We booked our honeymoon through Kuoni, and we can link people to gift through the gift list on their site, we’ll then use the money for excursions, so we’ve put a paragraph on indicating that the gift would be towards this. Our honeymoon is already sorted.

Before this though, I had the thought of linking it through PayPal. We have a dedicated email account for wedding stuff so it wouldn’t be hard to have a dedicated PayPal account, and then use your personal link as a way for people to electronically send you money Smiley smile

We are having the same conundrum! I think we will use a poem then give people details if they ask… looked at sites but concerned how safe they are…

Ah ha, I haven’t seen that one. Looked at some others but didn’t want them running away with the money

Annie Cloth Coupon is the best online wedding gifts store for bride, groom, and all of their guests. I am a regular customer. They offer great gifts that are perfect for every type of gift need - cards, flowers, baskets, or even an entire wedding package. Their customer service is great and they have quick turn around time.
