Hi Chelsea. Obviously your call but I will say that I have never been invited to someone's wedding and then asked to pay.

I agree with above reply, I have never been asked to pay for any food at a wedding, drinks at the bar maybe but not food, I am afraid it isn't really the done thing!

Rather than having bar tokens could you use the money for drinks towards food? Personally I expect to pay for drinks but. It food at a wedding so ifbyoubhave budget for drinks I think you should use that for food. As others have said, I have never been asked to pay towards food at a wedding and think it is a bit cheeky. I know it is so hard with budgets and costs are high but really if you can't afford it you need to either re think your option or cut budget from elesewhere

I agree with the above, I definitely expect to pay for drinks, but food is normally something you consider to be included.
I'd swap the bar tokens out and pay for the food instead, personally.
