Catholic Wedding

mrs2bsoon, 9 May, 2011 at 16:03 Posted on Planning 0 3

I am trying to organise my timeline. How long are you allowing for your catholic service with or without mass? Our priest has said we can have either service but I'm not sure what to go for!! I have nearly finished my order of service too so I am very excited but I really can't think of a nice joyful song to walk out on.

Shame your priest wouldn't allow you to have a mass. I think some are much stricter about that kind of thing than others.

To the OP - best to ask your priest about his timings. I'm having a full mass which will last about an hour, the ceremony on its own would only have been about 30mins.

I'm C of E but am having full Communion and we expect the service to last around 1 hr and 15 mins. Depends a bit on number of communicants (think quite a few of "ordinary" congregation will fetch up) and how late I am!! (not at all - the choir have warned me)

Sounds like it varies then! I should check with the priest and see what he says.
