Ceilidh Band?

jen52637, 15 December, 2008 at 17:32 Posted on Planning 0 6

Anyone got recommendations for a ceilidh band? We're getting married in Loch Lomond so would need to be someone who could travel there. We're looking for a ceilidh/disco type package and we HATE accordians! ?

So has anyone ever been to a good ceilidh disco where there wasn't an accordian? We were looking at a band called 'The Jiggers' but their website says they don't play on Sundays, which is probably the day we'd be getting married.

Thanks in advance guys!

These guys are great https://kilter.co.uk/ but they do have an accordian. I don't know much about ceilidh bands but I'm guessing most of them might have accordians!

    Hi Jen

How did your second trip to Cameron house go?

We have booked the Ballochmyle band, they do ceilidh music and also sing modern songs, i'm pretty sure they will have an accordian tho

Thanks guys. I'll look into all your suggestions!

You'd actually be surprised at how many ceilidh bands don't have accordians! There's loads on the internet but I'd be wary of booking a band that I hadn't heard or heard about!

Suze- The second visit went well thank, got to see the Lomond Suite this time! The parents were doing my head in though! ?
