Ceilidh in a long dress?

FutureMrsMarshall, 17 March, 2016 at 09:06 Posted on Planning 0 2

So I'm quite happy to blame my own failure to get the steps right on wearing a wedding dress. ? However my bridesmaids and I have picked a dress for them that comes in both a midi and maxi length and I'm wondering what would be best. We all prefer the long one as it looks amzing on them, but I do want them to be able to join in the fun. Does anyone have experience doing a ceilidh in a long dress? Is it really annoying to have to hold up the dress?

Wouldn't it be lovely to have the funds for two dresses so you could all change into a shorter one later. Other than the dream no suggestions I'm afraid ?

I've been to many a ceilidh in a floor length dress (and my bridesmaids and I will be doing so at my wedding), they'll be fine! Practice so you get used to changing which hand is holding up the skirt when needed! ?

My bridesmaids were fine in their long dresses, I had an issue... I kept slipping on my dress on the led floor they had so I only did one dance and then gave up!
