Celebrant led wedding with a registrar?

We are only just engaged and looking at a 2023 wedding... but I can't help starting planning!

I am interested in the more personal feeling and freedom of a celebrant wedding ceremony, but I also want to be able to do the legal bit and be 'married' on the same day.

Is it possible to have a ceremony led by a celebrant, but also with a registrar there to do the legal bit as well, at the same time??

Not exactly at the same time but you can do one directly after the other. If you really want it all on the same day the best way is to do the legal bit in the morning at a registrar office and then do the celebrant lead wedding in the afternoon with all your guests.
Most people who choose to do things this way have the legal bit done some time in the week - Monday to Friday before a week -end celebrant led wedding.
