Centrepeice Ideas - Help!

AmyE85, 22 January, 2015 at 20:01 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi everyone

Hoping you can share some inspiration with me! I get married in July and my theme is classic, vintage. I'm having simple fresh white roses and freesias in my bouquet and top table spray and I'm looking for some classy looking but cheap ideas for floral table decorations.

I have 11 tables to dress and my florist quoted me £10 per table for a thin spray of rose, lily, greenery and gypsophelia to go in a tall lily vase (if I buy the vases). I didn't really want to spend over £100 on centrepieces.

Any ideas much appreciated!!

Many thanks

Amy

I am having the same problem. I would suggest a tall vase (try Dunhelm Mill - £3 any colour) and if you don't mind a bit of DIY you can just get your bridesmaids to put a few roses from Tesco/Sainos etc in each vase.

Failing that my best mate got some hurricane vases from Cargo for a fiver each, put in a pillar candle in each and surrounded with petals supplied by her florist. If you don't want real one, fake rose petals are available on ebay for under £3 per 100.

-If you dont mind each table being different, charity shops sell tea cups and even tea pots quite cheap like the previous poster suggested.

    - If you like coffee, or know someone that does, you could start collecting douwe egberts glass coffee jars. Once you've used the coffee, take the wrapper off, decorate with lace/ribbon etc and use as a small vase for a posy of flowers.

    - After valentines day, you can often get bargains at poundland, asda etc you could use

Here are ours, they are quite minimalist which is what we were going for. We are also having navy blue satin table runners, not blue bedsheets! (This was just a mock up to get an idea). Going for a Japanese theme with the bonsais.

We're having white flowers too - roses, freesias and gyp.. we're having these as our table centrepieces - footed bowls (dunelm - £3.99 each) but with these flowers but without the hydrangea..

You could keep costs down with mixed greenery runners, scattered bud vases and tea lights for a vintage vintage feel, or even use dried flowers on some tables for variety. A simple mix-and-match approach often works best for budgets like this, similar to how planners keep things structured with futures trading accountant services uk without overcomplicating it.

Hi Amy, honestly £10 per table already sounds pretty reasonable for fresh flowers, especially for a wedding. But if you want to save more money, you could keep it really simple and elegant with floating candles, small bunches of gypsophila in vintage-style jars, or single roses in slim glass bottles. White flowers with greenery always look classy without needing huge arrangements. You could also mix flowers with candles and mirrors to make the tables feel fuller without spending loads on blooms. Vintage weddings usually suit understated decorations really well anyway.

I completely agree with you. £10 per table honestly sounds very fair for wedding flowers, especially nowadays when everything costs so much more. And sometimes the simplest decorations end up looking the most beautiful and elegant anyway. I really love the idea of floating candles and gypsophila in vintage jars because it gives such https://quickwin-casino.net/ a soft and romantic atmosphere without looking too busy. White flowers with greenery always feel timeless, and adding candles or mirrors can make everything look fuller and more expensive without needing huge floral arrangements. Vintage-style weddings actually suit that understated look perfectly.
