Ceremony Advice.

Natalie, 25 April, 2025 at 13:34 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hello. Me and my partner have found a venue we love for our wedding reception but we are unsure how to look for somewhere that provides ceremony only. We aren’t religious so getting married in a church wouldn’t be an option. We are based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Does anybody know of anywhere or have any advice on how to locate these venues who will do ceremony only packages? ☺️
Thanks in advance!!!

You might be better off just going to a registry office and then once you've got the legal stuff done, create your own non-legal ceremonial moment at the reception venue.

    Hello,

Tips for Finding the Perfect Ceremony-Only Venue:

Contact the Registrar: Reach out to the North Yorkshire Registration Service to inquire about approved venues for civil ceremonies. They can provide a list of licensed locations in Harrogate and surrounding areas.

    North Yorkshire Council

Venue Websites: Explore the official websites of venues you're interested in to check if they offer ceremony-only packages and to view their facilities.

Wedding Directories: Utilize wedding directories like Hitched, Tagvenue, and Bridebook to search for venues that offer ceremony-only options in Harrogate.

Wedding Fairs: Attend local wedding fairs in Harrogate to meet with venue representatives and discuss ceremony-only packages.

Local Recommendations: Join local wedding planning groups or forums to seek recommendations from couples who have recently married in Harrogate.

If you're planning a ceremony and need a mental break from all the details, I totally get it — the stress builds up quickly. I’ve found that taking short pauses with something light, like a few minutes on a https://realmoneycasinoslot.com app, helps me reset. It’s not about the money, really — just a quick way to shift focus and come back with a clearer head.

Try filtering for “ceremony only” or look for licensed civil ceremony venues . You can also contact venues directly—many offer ceremony-only options even if not advertised. Check the North Yorkshire Council’s list of approved venues, and consider gardens, boutique hotels, or registry offices in Harrogate.
