Ceremony and straight to buffet and dancing

That is a great way to o avoid cost as the meal is one of the most expensive parts. If you have ceremony at say 4pm them have photos etc and disco to start about 6.30 them you can cut cake at 7, first dance just after then food at 7.30-8. just be sure you are happy with the short let time frame as it all goes so quick

I have shot weddings like this and they are usually referred to as "twilight weddings"

They usually run like this - 4pm ceremony out for 4.30 with drinks and photos for 1.5 hours until 6pm then buffet from 6.15 or 6.30 with speeches after and then cut cake at 8pm and then straight into the first dance 8.05 and they carry on dancing the night away.

This is what I’m doing, I get married at 3.30, photos, drinks reception then evening guests arrive at 6.30 straight into nighttime
